One afternoon, a curious little girl asked her mom, “Mom, how did people get here? Where did the human race come from?”

Her mom smiled and said, “Well, sweetie, God created Adam and Eve, and they had children. That’s how all of humanity began.”

The little girl nodded thoughtfully.

A few days later, she posed the same question to her dad.

He replied, “Ah, well, humans actually evolved over millions of years from monkeys and apes.”

Now the girl was completely confused. She went back to her mom and said, “Mom, you said God made people, but Dad says we came from monkeys. Who’s right?”

Her mom chuckled, leaned down, and said, “It’s simple, honey—I told you about my side of the family. Your father was telling you about his.”
